Parish Chauncey G. Parish died of heart disease at his residence 17 Wright street, last evening at the age of seventy-five years. Deceased was born in Windom, Conn., March 13, 1818. His boyhood was spent in his native place and when a young man he removed to Brooklyn, N.Y. Later he came west and settled at Springfield, Ill., where he followed the occupation of a railroad engineer. In 1874 he removed to this city where his brother-in- law, Rev. Mr. Miner, was then pastor of the First Baptist church. Deceased was a Mason of long standing. He joined Joppa lodge, F.&A.M., at Brooklyn soon after he was of age, and had consequently been a member of the order for fifty-four years. He leaves a wife and two sons, Edward and George. The funeral will be held from the residence at two o'clock tomorrow and will be conducted by the Masonic fraternity.
