Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Cynthia PUTNAM ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, April 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern December 31, 1927 p.3 Dies At Her Home Mrs. Cynthia Putnam Passes Away--Born at Concord, Wis.-- Funeral Will Be Held Tuesday Mrs. Cynthia Putnam died at her home, 86 School street, at 6:30 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Putnam was born at Concord, Wis., June 29, 1860. She was married to Fred Putnam in 1879 at Poysippi, where they resided for a time. They then moved to Marshfield and later came to Oshkosh, where Mrs. Putnam resided ever since. Mr. Putnam preceded her in death. The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Phillips and Mrs. George Brigham, of Oshkosh, and three sons, Frank Putnam, of Minneapolis, and Arthur and George Putnam, of Oshkosh. Mrs. Putnam is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Clara Sager, of this city, and nineteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are to held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Riverside chapel. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery. January 3, 1928 p. 4 Putnam- The funeral of Mrs. Cynthia Putnam was held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home of her son, A.R. Putnam, 282 West New York avenue, and at 2 o'clock from the Riverside chapel. Rev. Harry E. Krug was the officiating clergyman. The pallbearers were Harley, Louis, Arthur and Roy Mantz, Dayton LaBorde and Melvin Eaton. Interment was in the Riverside cemetery. Those attending the services from out of town were: Frank Putnam of Minneapolis and Mrs. Robert Swinton, Mrs. Oscar Ricaby and Willis Eldridge, all of New London.
