According to a dispatch received by The Northwestern, Mr. Kleist’s death was the result of an accident and occurred Wednesday. The dispatch states that Mr. Kleist, who was a locomotive fireman, fell from his engine on the Missabe? ore dock and fell into an ore pocket, sustaining injuries from which he died in a hospital several hours later. Mr. Kleist was in the habit of working as a railroad fireman during the summer months and when not engaged in that occupation made his home in this city with his widowed mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Kleist, who resides on Minnesota street. He was unmarried and besides his mother is survived by two brothers and a sister, all of whom live in this city. The brothers are Gustave and Herman Kleist. The remains of the unfortunate young man probably will be brought here for burial.
