Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Eunice (Lyons) RADCLIFFE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, 12 June 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern February 10, 1890 Mrs. Radcliffe's Death The Remains to be Taken to Beaver Dam To-Morrow The funeral of the late Mrs. E.L. Radcliffe took place at two o'clock today at the residence of W.W. Watson on Park street. The deceased was born September 26, 1859, in the town of Burnett, Dodge county, Wisconsin, and died in Oshkosh at the residence of her sister, Mrs. W.W. Watson, Feb. 7, 1890. Her maiden name was Eunice C. Lyons. She was married May 20, 1860 to Mr. E.L. Radcliffe, who she now leaves with one child, Albert, to mourn her departure. A babe of eighteen months preceeded her some years ago. Mrs. Radcliffe was a genial, kindly spirit. She loved her home and lived to gladden it and the life of her friends. None knew her but to love and respect her. Consumption, that dread disease which takes away so many, preyed upon her system for many months and was the cause of her death. She was patient in all her suffering, and though she preferred to live for the sake of husband and child, was willing to go. Her last days were peaceful and her last hours filled with bright visions of the better world. She has entered into rest. A large circle of relatives and friends here and in her home at Racine will sadly miss her. Life's weariness and suffering ended, her remains find a last resting place in Oakwood cemetery, Beaver Dam, Wis., wither they will be taken tomorrow morning.
