The exact cause of his passing away is not known, although heart disease is believed to have been his ailment. He had been suffering for a brief time with a nervous disease, but the family was not alarmed as it did not appear serious. He was in his sixty- first year. He was born in New Brunswick. A wife and five children survive. The youngest child is fifteen years of age. John Raleigh, the oldest son, is a corporal in the Third United States Infantry on duty in the Philippine Islands. His term of enlistment will expire next fall. A brother, Richard Raleigh of this city, and a sister, Mrs. William Roach of North Stratford, N.H. also survive him. The funeral will take place from St. Peter's church Saturday morning at nine o'clock.
