Death at Omro

David W. Reed, an Early Settler, Aged 84 Years

Omro, Wis.- David W. Reed, an old and well known resident, died here last
night aged eighty-four years.  Mr. Reed was one of the early settlers of
this vicinity, having located on a farm near here forty-five years ago.  He
leaves a wife and one adopted daughter, Mrs. Frank L. Goodwin, who resides
here.  The cause of Mr. Reed's death was old age and a stroke of paralysis
which he suffered some time ago.  The funeral will occur tomorrow from the
house at 2 p.m.

The funeral of David Reed was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. F.
Goodwin, Saturday afternoon.  Mr. Reed has until recently taken an active
part in the affairs of the town of Omro, being one of the early settlers of
the town and coming here in the early '50s.
