Percey, August 2006 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Oshkosh Daily Northwestern, Nov. 13, 1931, p. 4 [with photo] Mrs. Josephine Reif, 79, formerly of Oshkosh, died this morning at 5 o’clock at Appleton, where she had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Eva Braun, for the last two years. She suffered from a lingering illness and had been in bed five months. She was the widow of Frank Reif who died here about 15 years ago, and a sister of Mrs. Frank Percey, widow of one of Oshkosh’s prominent furriers. The Braun home in Appleton is at 418 North Lawe street. Mrs. Reif was born in Jerdenville, NY, July 24, 1852, and come to Oshkosh when a child of three. She was married to Mr. Reif in 1871. Her survivors are five sons, Charles of Antigo, Edgar and Bert of Oshkosh, Alvin of La Crosse and Jess of St. Louis; three daughters, Mrs. Adeline Eichlitz, San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Lou Jaegers, and Mrs. Eva Braun, Appleton; her sister; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Reif was a member of the Algoma Methodist Church of Oshkosh and the Women’s Benefit Association. Rev. J.A. Holmes of Appleton will conduct funeral services which will be held for her Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Konrad funeral home, 103 Waugoo street. Burial will take place at Riverside cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home from Sunday afternon until the services.
