Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Anna REINKE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, February 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local February 14, 1918 p.1 Anna Reinke nee Voelkner a venerable and respected lady died in Winneconne Thursday. Deceased was born December 15, 1823, at Karoenbruch, West Prussia, Germany. She was united in marriage to Andraes Reinke, the marriage being blessed with nine children, four sons and five daughters; three sons and one daughter died. Her husband died in 1876. The good woman came to Wisconsin in 1886 and resided with her children. After her daughter died she kept house for Julius Krueger and family. During the last four years she lived with her son Ernst Reinke. She was the oldest of four generations, a great honor for any woman to have. As age crept on her health became weakened departing this life at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 22 days. Her survivors are one son, E. Reinke of Winneconne, Mrs. Ernest Mielke, Mrs. Henry Zindars, Mrs. John Kalodzek of Poygan, and Mrs. Marie Hoge who lives in Germany. She also leaves 26 grand children, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Burial took place Sunday afternoon at 1:30 from the house and from the church at 2 o'clock, interment being in Winneconne cemetery, Rev. Hager conducting the last sad rites. The pall bearers being: Joe and John Schnider, August Krueger, W. Regal, Alfred Vinland and Fred Ponsenhagen. Those who attended from out of town were: Mrs. William Gerth of DePere, Mrs. Albert Bohren and children of Darlington, Wis. and Mr. and Mrs. John Kodolzek of Poygan.
