Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Margaret REVOIR ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern April 3, 1909 p. 1 Tragedy Near Winneconne Mrs. Margaret Revoir, an Aged Woman, Burns to Death in Her Room-Story Winneconne, Wis., April 3.-- The dead body of Mrs. Margaret Revoir, her clothing and hair burned from her person and the body itself badly burned, was found at about eight o'clock this morning by her son, Thomas Revoir. Mrs. Revoir lived in a room of a home occupied by a family named Cowan and her son came as was his custom at an early hour and started a fire in Mrs. Revoir's stove and then went away. When he returned a couple of hours later he found the dead body sitting in a chair, and portions of the room burned, besides the body. Mrs. Revoir was about seventy-eight years of age and resided on what is known as "the flat" at the outskirts of the village. (Sheriff John W. Bunn and County Stenographer F.X. McCabe have gone to Winneconne to investigate the death of Mrs. Revoir and have ordered a coroner's inquest)
