Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Margaret ROSE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern November 10, 1890 Death of Mrs. Rose Typhoid Fever the Cause- Critical Condition of Her Husband Mrs. Margaret Rose died early yesterday morning at the home of her father, James N. Ruby, 401 Main street. The circumstances surrounding her death render it peculiarly sad. Some weeks ago, George Rose, her husband was taken ill with typhoid fever. She nursed him faithfully for two weeks and scarcely left his bed side. She was taken with the same disease and to receive better care she was removed to the home of her father. She was so worn out by her previous exertions that she could not withstand the disease and she passed away at 12:30 Sunday morning. Mr. Rose is still very ill and is in so critical a condition that the doctor has positively forbidden that he be told of the death of his wife. Mr. Rose was twenty three years old. She is the daughter of Mr. and MRs. James N. Ruby, and she is a native of this city. She leaves no children. The funeral will be held from Mr. Ruby's home tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. J.S. Lean of the First Methodist church, will conduct the services. Mrs. Rose was highly respected and a large circle of friends will miss her bright, cheerful disposition, and their heartfelt sympathy goes out to the stricken family
