Alvin was a WWII Veteran in the Army in the Special Forces Unit with Battles of Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. He received a Purple Heart, Victory Medal, European African Easter Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Bronze service Arrowhead, Three Overseas service Bars, the Good Conduct Medal and the Croix de Guerre with Palm. Alvin is survived by his wife Virginia and two sons Christopher and kelleyand four daughters Eileen Lambert, Marvel Cartwright, Terrie Covil and Mary Bostwic. He was preceded in death by two wives Myrtle Perry-Schultz and Cristal Cartwright-Schultz.Services were held in Saxville with the Rev. Ted Gulhaugen officating and burial was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh.
