Charles Scherk, another south side resident, died last evening at his home
on Eleventh street of cancer of the stomach.  He was forty-nine years of
age and a cooper by trade.  A wife and seven children survive him.  The
funeral obsequies will be held from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2
o'clock.
