Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Charles Henry SERVICE (SERVIS) ************************************************************************ Submitted by Donna Connell, December 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Neenah Times, July 24, 1891, page 4 C.H. SERVIS DIES FROM HEART DISEASE Last night at 9:30, Mr. C.H. Servis died suddenly from heart disease, at his residence in First ward. He had been to the Baptist prayer meeting and had returned home apparently in best of health. He wound up the clock, sat down on a lounge, when his wife heard a groan and on looking toward him, saw him fall back over the lounge, dead. Physicians were summoned but of course their efforts to restore his life were futile. The deceased was 73 years of age. He was one of the oldest and best known citizens of Neenah. He came to Clemensville some 40 years ago, on a farm, and removed into Neenah some 18 years ago. His wife, sister to Mrs. J.R. Ford, and three sons survive him. He was a man of most excellent character, and held in high esteem. The funeral has not yet been announced. Additional Comments: Buried in Brooks Cemetery, Section B, Row 1, Oshkosh, Vinland Township, Winnebago Co., Wisconsin.
