Spencer, the Widow of Captain Spencer Mrs. Mary B. Spencer, living at the home of her son-in-law, W.H. Watkins, on Regent street, died this morning about half past one o'clock afrom general debility. She was about seventy-seven years of age and was a pensioner of the war of 1812, her husband having been a captain on the American side during that memorable conflict. For about forty years Mrs. Spencer resided in Waupaca county, but during the latter part of her life had lived in this city. Her husband was very much older than she and when he participated in the war of 1812 was a remarkably young soldier. He lived to a good old age and was well known throughout Waupaca county. As a significance of his vigor it may be stated that when seventy-three years old he drove a horse in a race.
