Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Jemima STICKLE ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local December 11, 1913 p.1 Mrs. Jemima Stickle At 9:30 o'clock on Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, occurred the death of Mrs. Jemima Stickle at her home in the village. Mrs. Stickle was born at Plattsburg, Clinton Co. N.Y., on Jan. 25th, in the year of 1834, and was 79 years of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Stephen Stickle and in 1879 they came to this village and purchased a home. Some years later they moved to Chicago and engaged in business and from there they went to Watertown and resided several years. Some few years ago Mr. and Mrs. Stickle retired from business and returned to this village to spend their remaining days. Mr. Stickle passed to his reward six years ago of the same disease which has taken his wife. Mrs. Stickle has been in poor health for the past fourteen years but it was not until the past few days that she was confined to her bed. Shortly before her death she was taken with hemorrhages. Death was due to ulcers of the stomach. Her brother, O.C. Stickle and wife of Ripon, where the only relatives at the beside at the time of her death. She leaves two brothers, O.C. Stickle, of Ripon, and I.F. Stickle of Lena, Ill., and a number of other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Friday morning, Dec. 12, at 10 o'clock, from the Baptist church. Rev.
