Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Maggie STILP ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern March 26, 1901 p. 5 Neenah-Menasha, Wis.- Mrs. Maggie Stilp died at ten o'clock Sunday night of general debility at her home on First street, Menasha. Mrs. Stilp's maiden name was Maggie Laux. She was born in Prussia and came to this country in 1817. In 1816 she was married to Jacob Stilp, who with seven children survive her. The children are: John B. of Flocks, Mathias of this city, Joseph of Milwaukee, Henry of Neenah, Mrs. Emma Fitzgibbon and Miss Maggie Stilp of this city, and Mrs. Mary Morrell of Marshfield. Four children preceded her to the great beyond. Mr. and Mrs. Stilp came to Menasha in 1856 and are among the most highly respected of Menasha's pioneers. The funeral will occur at nine o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Mary's church.
