Streich Passes Away at Ripe Old Age Mrs. Augusta Krause Streich, widow of Charles W. Streich, and the daughter of Caroline and Michael Krause, passed away Friday evening at her home, 1104 Oregon Street, at 8 o’clock. Mrs. Streich was one of the oldest settlers of the city. She was born in Walsko, Germany, Nov. 4, 1848, and when she was 6 years of age, come to this country with the remainder of her family, and settled on a farm about four miles west of Ripon. Not long after, they moved to Oshkosh and have resided here ever since. She was married to Charles W. Streich, Sept. 10, 1865. Mr. Streich passed away Jan. 2, 1903. Five children were born, two of whom, Aledia and Charles Streich Jr., passed away some time ago. The three surviving children are: Mrs. Anna S. Gustavus, Miss Ida Streich, and Frederick Streich, all of this city. Other survivors are two brothers, Gustave Krause of Portland, Ore. and Charles Krause of Ripon, Wis.; four grandchidlren, Charles A., Phillip, Jane and Robert Streich. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the residence at 1104 Oregon street. Rev. Joseph N. Barnett of Trinity Episcopal church will be the officiating clergyman. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery.
