Saturday night about eight o'clock Fridolin Tischler fell down stairs and sustained injuries which caused his death three hours later. He was going up the stairs near William Spikes' undertaking establishment to see George Mayer about a watch. When he had gone up about ten or twelve steps he fell backwards. In falling he struck on his head and fractured his skull. He was taken into Mr. Spikes' establishment and Dr. Harrington was summoned, but nothing could be done for him, and he was finally taken to the home of his sister on Fourteenth street near Oregon, where he died about eleven o'clock. Mr. Tischler was thirty-nine years old and unmarried. He lived with his sister and worked at Radford's mill
