Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: David TREFETHEN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local June 3, 1915 p.1 David Trefethen was born in Rye Rockingham County, New Hampshire and died in Winneconne, Wis., May 27, 1915, aged 70 years and 5 months. In the year 1855 he moved to Illinois, White Side county, in the year 1857 moved to Kansas, in 1859, returning again the same year. He remained there until 1861, when he enlisted in C. F. 52, Reg., Illinois Volunteer Infantry. He was discharge Oct. 24, 1862 for disability received in the line of duty. He went to Kansas in 1867 and was married in 1871 to Clara Dalrymple. To this union five children were born of which three are living. There are also 11 grandchildren. Mr. Trefethen came to Winneconne in 1897 and resided here ever since. Those surviving are one brother, Alfred Trefethen of Lincoln, Co., Kan., one sister, Miss Octavie Dalrymple of Barnes, Kans., one sone in Topeka Kans., one daughter in Watonga, Okla, one son in Lucas, Kans. One brother W.H. Trefethen departed just two years and four days ago. He then resided with his sister-in-law.
