A dispatch has been received by Chief of Police Ragatz stating that John Wade of this city was killed at St. Paul Saturday night and asking that his relatives be notified of his death. No particulars were given of how the young man lost his life. Wade was about 27 years of age and was unmarried. He left this city about a year ago and went west to work when he informed his sister by letter that he had been railroading for a portion of the time. It is supposed that he was engaged in this occupation and through some accident was killed by the cars. Chief Ragatz informed the young man's mother, who is now Mrs. J.F. Wagg, living on Fourteenth street; and a husband of one of the sisters of the deceased started on the first train to St. Paul in order to bring the remains back to this city for burial. Chief Ragatz has telegraphed to St. Paul for full particulars concerning the accident.
