Wadleigh's Death A Well-Known Resident Dies Early this Morning. Joseph C. Wadleight, residing on Jackson street died this morning shortly before three o'clock of hemorrhage of the stomah. Mrs. Wadleigh had been ill for about three months, and the last day of his sickness were characterized by intense suffering. During the few hours preceding his death he bled so profusely that it is thought he must have emitted as much as two quarts of blood. The deceased was born at Bolton, in lower Canada, September 7, 1811. He afterwards became a resident of Moretown, Vt., but since September of 1855, he has resided in Oshkosh. He was an industrious mechanic, a good neighbor and an honest man. He had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church about fifty years. He leaves two daughters- Miss Mary Wadleigh, of this city, and Mrs. Dewey, of Washington territory. The remainder of his family consists of three sons, two of whom are marine engineers, having their headquarters at Cleveland and Chicago, respectively. Mrs. Wadleigh died December 12, 1878.
