Walker Neenah, Wis., March 22.-- Chester C. Walker, one of the most prominent, active and wide awake farmers of the town of Neenah, died at his home last evening of consumption at the age of 43 years. Mr. Walker was born in this city Nov. 18, 1852. His parents, who were among the early settlers, were Phineas W. Walker of English parentage and Nancy Kilton of Scotch ancestry. The deceased received a common school education and also took a course in the Oshkosh Business college from which he graduated in 1874. After leaving school he entered the occupation of farming, which he has followed with unqualified success. Mr. Walker was a practical farmer in every sense of the word and one of the leading spirits at the farm institutes and dairy meetings held throughout the county. A wife and four children, Marcia Walker, Bernard Walker, Chester Walker and Willie Walker, survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Interment will occur at Oak Hill cemetery.
