Silas E. Wood, for sixteen years a resident of this village, passed away at
the Frisby home, last Thursday, Oct. 31, at the age of 95 years.

Mr. Wood was born in New York state in June of the year 1817.  Of a family
of three children but one remains to mourn his loss, Mrs. Isaac Hart, of
Neenah.

The funeral was held in the Norwegian Lutheran church in the village, and
interment took place at Oshkosh.  Rev. J.J. Gelling, of the M.E. church,
officiating.
