Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: William ZASTROw ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, April 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern July 28, 1927 p. 4 Dies at Toledo William Zastrow, Formerly of Oshkosh, Passes Away-- Will Bring Remains Here for Burial William Zastrow, for many years a resident of Oshkosh, passed away Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock in Toledo, O., where he had been residing with his daughter, Mrs. O.G. Stuede. The remains will be brought to Oshkosh over the Northwestern railway and will arrive at 7 o'clock Friday evening. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Riverside chapel. Rev. J.E. Elbert will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. Mr. Zastrow was 84 years of age. He was born in Franzfeldt, Germany, March 5, 1843. He came to this country with his family thirty-eight years ago, settling in this city. Mr. Zastrow resided here until five years ago, when he went to Toledo. The survivors include three sons: Williams Zastrow, Jr., Albert Zastrow and Walter Zastrow, all of Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Fred Germer of this city and Mrs. O.G. Stuede, of Toledo, with whom the deceased resided; twenty-five grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
