Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: A.W. ZIEBELL ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern March 4, 1891 Died of Heart Failure Sudden Death of A.W. Ziebell This Morning A.W. Ziebell for ten years past warehouseman for the Lake Shore road in this city, died suddenly this morning of heart failure at his home on Central avenue. He had been sick for a short time, but had not been confined to the house, as he was down at the freight depot early Monday morning. Tuesday, however, he was obliged to remain at home, and at about fifteen minutes of twelve this morning expired very suddenly. A peculiar incident is the fact that the deceased who had been a member of Company B for many years, was to have been presented with a marksman's badge at the public exercises at the armory last night, but was unable to attend on account of sickness. None of him comrades, however, had any idea that his condition was so serious and his death has been a great surprise to all. Mr. Ziebell was also a member of the south side Turners, in which organization it is thought he carried some insurance. He was about thirty- two years of age and leaves a wife and one child. The Guards will attend the funeral in a body.
