C. Oakes became the bride of Mr. George Broderick son of Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Broderick of Poygan. The marriage took place at St. Mary's parsonage Rev. Father Luby officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Jessie Oakes, sister of the bride, and Mr. Gordon Broderick, brother of the groom. The bride was attired in a traveling suit and carried an arm bouquet of white roses. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents. The color scheme being yellow and white roses, roses and chrysanthemums were used in profusion. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Broderick and Mr. Gordon Broderick, Poygan, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Broderick, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. J.E.Ford, Green Bay, Mrs. M.G. Oakes, Omro, Misses Calista and Genevieve Brady, Portage, Miss Doris McEvoy, Milwaukee, Mr. W.F. McEvoy, Milwaukee, Mr. W.J. McEvoy, Miss Helen McEvoy, Miss Anna Riley, Mr. and Mrs. Edw. C. Oakes and Miss Jessie Oakes, all of Winneconne. The bride and groom left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and other points, and will be at home to their friends after Dec. 1st. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful gifts.
