W.D. Benton. The wedding was very quiet, and only the near relative of contracting parties were present. The bride's costume was brown silk oranamented [sic] with natural flowers. She was unattended. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mrs. Tucker, the mother of the bride, at No. 38 Ackerman street. The groom is the son of Dr. J.W. Carhart, now of Lampasas, Tex., but formerly a prominent Methodist clergyman of Wisconsin, and the bride is a granddaughter of William Spikes. The couple will live with Mrs. Tucker for the present.
