Marriage: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Lees-Peck ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern April 1, 1893 On Wednesday evening at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Peck, in Neenah, occurred the marriage of their eldest daughter, Lucy, to James B. Lees, of Seattle, Wash., the ceremony being performed by the Rev. J. S. Lean of this city. None but the relatives and most intimate friends of the contracting parties were present. The house was tastily decorated with greens and cut flowers and presented a very pretty appearance. The bride was attired in a rich becoming costume of white crystal silk and looked most charming. An elegant wedding repast was served about ten o'clock. The bride is a winsome young lady who has many friend sin the city who will miss her greatly. The groom is a young man highly spoken of, who is engaged in the real estate business in Seattle. The happy couple left on the midnight train for Chicago, where they will remain a few days and then proceed to Sterling, Kansas to visit Mr. Lees' parents, accompanied by the best wishes of all. Mr. Lees is well known to Oshkosh society, having visited here several times and attended many parties.
