F.G. Codd tieing the nuptial knot. Mrs. F.G. Codd and Irene Oakes acting as witnesses. Miss King is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. King and needs no introduction to our readers. She is a highly respected young lady and will be greatly missed by her many friends in and around the village. She was becomingly attired in a blue traveling suit. Mr. Oakes is a worthy young man and has won a wide circle of friends here and at Milwaukee, where he has resided for the past few years. He was attired in a black suit. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the relatives and friends at the bride's home, at high noon on Thursday, April 24. The table was tastefully decorated with carnations and the Misses Ann Moran and Leona Smith were servers. Miss Severson and Mrs. Henry Severson comprised the culinary force. Mr. and Mrs. Oakes were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts including artistically hand decorated china, cut glass dishes, hand painted pictures and others. The bride and groom departed on the afternoon train, Thursday, for Upland, Cal., where they will spend a month with Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Jones. They will be at home to their many friends at Milwaukee, after June first.
