Daily Northwestern May 13, 1893 Last Wednesday morning at eight o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church on Merritt street occurred the marriage of Mr. Peter R. Schmidt, and Miss Ella Iverson, both of this city. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Scholter, every seat in the large church being taken by the friends and acquaintances of the contracting parties. Mendelssohn's wedding march was played on the pipe organ while the bridal party walked up the center aisle of the church to the altar. The bride was attended by Miss Katie Schmidt, a sister of the groom, while Mr. Orrin Iverson, a brother of the bride was groomsman. The bride was attired in a gown of cream landsdown, with pearl trimmings, and carried a bouquet of natural orange blossoms. After the ceremony was performed the bridal party repaired to the residence of the bride's parents on Prospect avenue, where a reception was held at which only relatives and few intimate friends were present. The couple left on an afternoon train for Chicago, where they were tendered a large reception by relatives. They will return to this city tonight. They will reside at 101 Prospect avenue. Both Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt are well and favorably known in this city, where they have resided the greater part of their lives.
