Marriage: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Sohr-Lucht ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern April 15, 1893 A very pretty wedding was that which occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John Lucht, 273 Oregon street, on Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock, the contracting parties being Miss Sophia Lucht and Sherman Sohr, both of this city. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph M. Koeplin of the Eighth street Lutheran church, in the presence of relatives and a large number of invited friends. The house had been tastefully decorated with evergreen, smilax and cut flowers, and presented a very pretty appearance. The bride was attired in a neat costume of tan Bedford cord, and was attended by the Misses Emma Washnick and Anna Lucht, the latter being her sister. The groomsmen were John Lucht, a brother of the bride, and Charles Range. After the ceremony was performed, a wedding supper was served. About twenty guests from out of town were present. The bride is a very popular young lady of the south side, where she has lived all her life, while the groom is also very popular among a large circle of friends and acquaintances. The young couple will reside on Oregon street.
