The occasion was the marriage ceremony which united in wedlock Miss Christina Furgeson and Mr. Orrin Thompson of Neenah. The Rev. J.E. Chapin of the latter city officiated while the groom was attended by Mr. George Barlow of Menasha, and the bride by her sister, Miss Jean Furgeson. The residence of Mr. C.A. Anderson was the scene of the happy event, and was tastily decorated with autumn leaves and ferns. At exactly eight o'clock the bridal couple appeared and standing beneath a beautiful floral horse shoe were made husband and wife. Only the intimate friends and relatives of the contracting parties were in attendance numbering about twenty-five. The presents were rare and costly while a dainty repast served to enliven the occasion. The bride who is a bewitching young lady has resided her for many years. She was attired in a tasty costume of cream serge and wore roses. The maid appeared in a dress of cream albatross.
