Marriage: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Vosburg-Smith ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local June 26, 1913 p. 1 Allenville Couple Wed A pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith of Allenville, Wednesday evening, June 18, at 8 o'clock, when their daughter, Zella, was united in marriage to Chester W. Vosburg, of the same village. The house was prettily decorated with roses and in one corner of the parlor an alcove was draped off with lace and roses, under which the ceremony was performed by Rev. Codd. The bride was gowned in white meseline. Entrance was made into the room from the stairs. The couple were proceeded by Grace Jones and Chester Smith, who carried the ends of streamers wreathed of roses, forming an isle to the altar, thru which the bride and groom marched unattended to the strains of a wedding march. After the ceremony a tasty wedding supper was served to a few friends and relatives. The young couple were taken to Oshkosh in an auto, where they left on a wedding tour to Chicago. They were give a rousing charivari by their friends at Allenville. Upon their return they will reside at the Vosburg home.
