Amelia Servis, deceased. On reading and seeing the petition of Hattie M. Ford of Neenah, in said county, representing among other things, that E. Amelia Servis, late of said county, deceased, died on the 11th day of May 1875, at Neenah, aforesaid: That she, the said petitioner, is a sister and next of kin to said deceased. That said deceased just before her death, did make and pronounce her will noncupative in manner and form as set forth in said petition, and according to the statutes in said case made and provided, and praying that said testamentry words be admitted to Probate and recorded as the last will of said deceased. It is ordered that the proofs of said alleged noncupative will be heard before the Judge of this Court on Monday, the 17th of January 1876, at 10 o'clock PM of that day at the office of the County Judge at the courthouse in the city of Oshkosh in said county. It is further ordered that public notice of the time and place of the hearing said proof be given to persons interested by publication of a copy of this order for 3 successive weeks before said day of hearing in the Neenah Gazette, a weekly newspaper published in Neenah, in said county. Dated December 14, 1875. George Gary, County Judge." Oral Will Statements of Elizabeth Amelia Imus (Ford)(Servis) (1)I want Carrie to be raised by Hattie and John R. Ford. (2)I want my entire estate to go to my daughter Carrie. (3) If the baby survives to age 21, I want him to get $200. (4) I direct John R. Ford to get back from Mr. William Servis the $822. I loaned him. (5) I direct John R. Ford to get all of my personal and household items from the home of Mr. William Servis in Sheboygan Falls, WI. Additional Comments: Amelia's daughter Carrie (from her first marriage to William E. Ford Jr.) only outlived her mother by about 4 months. Carrie died from diptheria on September 24, 1875, at the home of her aunt and uncle John R. Ford and Hattie Imus (Ford), in Neenah, Winnebago Co., Wisconsin.
