(Leinwander) Lesselyong, Mary - Outagamie-Wood County WI Archives Obituaries Marshfield News Herald - December 5, 1941 - OBIT: LESSELYONG RITES SET FOR TUESDAY Mother of Son for Whom Legion Post Was Named to Be Buried Here Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lesselyong, 91, mother of William J. Lesselyong, WWI soldier for whom the local American Legion Post was named will be held Tues. morning at 9o'clock at St. John's Catholic Church. Mrs. Lesselyong died yesterday am at the home of her daughter Mrs R. E. Errington at Appleton. The Rev. Augstine Frisch will officiate at the Requiem High Mass and burial will take place in the family lot at Hillside Cemetary. Mrs. Lesselyong, nee Mary Leinwander, was born Jan. 17, 1850 in Austria-Hungary and lived there until she was about five when she moved with her parents to Appleton. She live in Appleton until about eight yrs. after her marriage to John E. Lesselyong when she moved to Marshfield with her husband and family. After the death of her husband 10 yrs ago, Mrs. Lesselyong lived with her daught Mrs. William Scheller, here during the summers and spent the winters with another daughter, Mrs. R. E. Errington in Appleton. Mr. & Mrs. Lesselyong celebrated their golden wedding anniversary 18 yrs ago. She was one of the first Gold Star Mothers here, a member of the American Legion Auxillary of Marshfield. Surviving her are the following children: George, Tuolomme, Calif.; Jake, Clintonville; Mike, Appleton; Mrs. Rose Scheller and Mrs. Robt. (Eleanor)Errington, Appleton; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Out-of-town relatives and friends here for the services were Mr & Mrs. Mike Lesselyong, Mr & Mrs. Robert Errington, Mr.& Mrs Terry Lesselyong, Appleton and Jake Lesselyong, Clintonville. ************************************************ Copyright.
