(Lesselyong) Scheller, Rose A. - Wood-Outagamie County WI Archives Obituaries Marshfield News Herald article September 27, 1974 Obituary notice MRS. ROSE SCHELLER A lifelong resident of Marshfield. Mrs. Rose A. Scheller, 82, died at 5pm Friday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center, where she had been residing since July 29, 1971. Rites will be conducted at 9:30am Monday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Martinson, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be Hillside Cemetary in Marshfield, WI. Friends may call after 2pm Sun. and until time of service Monday at the Rembs Chapel where a St. John's parish vigil service will be held at 8pm Sun. The former Rose A Lesselyong was born in this city June 16, 1892 and attended St. John's Parochial School and the high school here. She was married Jan. 16, 1909 in St. John's Catholic Church to William T. Scheller who preceded her in death 12/18/1962. Her husband served as alderman of the 8th Ward here for 28 yrs and also as president of the Common Council on three separate occasions. Mr. & Mrs. Scheller resided at 206 N. Vine Ave celebrated their golden anniversary in 1959. Mrs. Scheller was a charter member of the American Legion Auxillary and was honored with a lifetime membership and was also a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Laniece) Schiesel, Neillsville, a son, William Scheller, Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Elenor) Errington, Kimberly; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were two sons. Gary and Leon, two sisters adn eight brothers. ************************************************ Copyright.
