Scheller, William T. - Wood County WI Archives Obituaries Marshfield News December 18, 1962 Former Alderman of 8th Ward in Marshfield dies. William T. Scheller, 72, who served as alderman of the 8th Ward for 28 years died of age complications at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home at 206 N. Vine Ave in Marshfield. Funeral services were at 2pm on Friday at Rembs Funeral Home by the Rev. John Wisneski. Burial is at Hillside Cemetary. William T. Scheller was born July 1, 1880 in Shakopee, MN., the son of the late Edward and Louisa(Skuelski) Scheller. At the age of 5 he moved with his parents to Sheboygan where he received his education. He came to Marshfield in 1905 with his family and completed his education. He was employed at the Roddis Lumber and Veneer Co. now Weyerhauser Corp from 1908 until his retirement late in 1956. William began holding the office of alderman of the 8th ward in 1921 during the administration of Mayor George B. Campbell. He served as president of the Common Council on 3 separate occasions. His marriage took place on 1/16/1909 at St. John's Catholic Church to the former Rose Lesselyong who survives him. He was a member of the Marshfield Elks Lodge. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Mrs. Laniece (John) Schiesel, Neilsville, three sons, Gary Scheller, Marshfield; Leon Scheller, Delafield, and William Scheller Jr., Marinette, 13 grandchildren, a great grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Berg, Marshfield, and Mrs. Jesse Colburn, Shawano. ************************************************ Copyright.
