Sgt. R. K. Price of the Philippi State Police Department, who was investigating officer, reported that death was due to natural causes. Mr. Fluharty was born December 6, 1906, in Wetzel County, a son of the ate Felix and Annie Byard Fluharty Survivors include his widow, Mrs., Lucy Minear Fluharty; two sisters Mrs. L G. (Rosie) Wyatt of Smithfield and Mrs. Harry E. Guthrie of Morgantown; a brother, Rodney Fluharty of Colliers and a half brother Hugh Byard of Smithfield Rt#1. The body was taken from a local funeral home to one in Pine Grove, and funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Higgins Chapel Church of Christ at Big Run with Evangelist Raymond Norris officiating. Burial was in the Willey Cemetery. __________________________________
