Robert Lee Mayle, 71, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Philippi, passed away 
Friday May 12, 2006 in his sleep while on a fishing trip, near Philippi. 
Born August 29, 1934 in Philippi, Bob was the son of the late Clifford Mayle 
and the late Thelma Norris-Mayle. 
On October 29, 1955, Bob and Ernestine, who survives at their home, were 
married. Also surviving are his sons Robert Curtis Mayle, Darren A. Mayle and 
Anthony S. (Stacy) Mayle, all of whom reside in Canton; one daughter Crystal 
L. Mayle of Dublin, Oh.; three grandchildren, Joshua Mayle, Kristen Mayle, and 
Luvada Mayle; and siblings Kenneth "Chuck" (Loutricia) Mayle, Danny (Mick) 
Mayle, and Marvin (Cindy) Mayle. 
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister 
Elizabeth "Liz" Newman. 
As an adult and throughout retirement, Bob enjoyed work as a cement finisher 
and retired as a member of the Laborers Union Local #1015. In addition to his 
work, Bob was a very enthusiastic gardener, hunter and fisherman. He shared 
his love for the outdoors with his friends and family. Bob will be happily 
remembered by many. 
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 16, from the 
Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main Street, Philippi. Interment will 
follow in the Norris Cemetery, Philippi. 
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and 
from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
