Funeral services will be held on Friday at two o'clock in Mary's Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. William G. States and Rev. L. Howard Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Murphy was born in Barbour County on July 12, 1886, a son William Riley and Amanda (Weaver) Murphy. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie O. Murphy, three sons, Ersel Glen of Arden, Denzil F. of Philippi and Lorain G. of Grafton. two daughters, Mrs. A. C. Griffith of Benton's Ferry, and Mrs. Charles J. Cerulli of Waterbury, Conn.; one brother Wesley of Clemtown; one sister, Mrs. Robert Keller of Grafton and six grandchildren. Mr. Murphy was a member of the Philippi Lodge IOOF No. 59. __________________________________
