He was the son of Edmond Hill and Katharine Hill, and was born and reared within a few miles of this city and had spent his entire life in this community. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Katherine (Triplett) Hill; two sons Columbus C. and Haynes, both of Belington, and three daughters, Mrs. C.A. Coontz, Mrs Alva Champ of Belington, and Mrs. Clifford Holsberry of Philippe. Also, three brothers, Anthony Hill of Parkersburg, and Jacob and Hannibal H. of Belington and four sisters, Mrs. Isabelle Harvey, Mars. Apoline Harvey, Mrs. Monroe Moore and Lanie all of Belington and vicinity. Funeral services were conducted at the M.E. Church, South this afternoon, with the Rev. E.B. Lambert in charge. Interment was at Fraternal Cemetery.
