Two of the sons of Jacob Woolam and his wife Magdelina, were living on the Tenmile in the 1790 Census, when the name is spelled Woolham. Other records spell the name Whoolam, Woollom, etc., but eventually it became Ullom by the spelling adopted in the family of Peter Ullom. On September 19,1793, Peter Ullom (spelled then Woolom), bought 98 acres of land from Captain James Hook's purchase of "Hook's Delight." (Washington County Deed Book 1-I. pp. 765.) Here he resided until his death. His Will was made January 29, 1816, and probated August 24, 1824. He gave  his home farm to his widow, Margaret, after which it was to go to his six named sons. The indications are that Margaret died soon after her husband and on May 18, 1829, these sons sold out to Isaac Ullom. (Greene County Will Book 1. pp. 257.)

 6. George Ullom, son of Peter and Margaret Ullom, born presumably in Berkeley County, Virginia, on October, 31 1779, died in Franklin Township, Greene County, September 24, 1830; married Margaret Bowen, born April 18, 1779, died February 19, 1853, both are buried in the Morrisville Cemetery.
