 I do with advice of this Council hereby certify that William Jones,late a 
private in the 8th VA Regt. and whose pay was at the rate of 24 pounds Virginia 
Currency per annum was disabled while in the service of the United States by a 
wound through his _____, the hands of which was fractured and rendered him 
unable to perform his duty, as to entitle him to the sum of twenty pounds 
yearly, commencing from the first day of Jan. 1786.  Given under my hands 
Governor of the Commonwealth of VA, at Richmond, this 13th day of June, 1786.
