Duckworth, age 78, of Cowen died Wednesday, June 6, 1973, at 3:10 p.m. in Webster County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. The daughter of George M.Cutlip and Minerva Adeline Bender Cutlip, both deceased, Mrs. Duckworth was born at Sutton, December 15, 1894. She had resided in Webster County for the past 27 years and attended the Halo United Methodist Church. Surviving relatives include: One daughter: Mrs. Fannie Woods of Cowen; Four Step Sons: Harold Duckworth of Florida Roy Duckworth of Madison Tuney Duckworth of Ravenswood & Paul Duckworth of Chesapeake, WV Four Step-daughters: Mrs. Edith Way of Akron, Ohio Mrs. Virginia Miller of Florida Miss Madeline Duckworth of Florida and a fourth step daughter of Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 9, at 2:00, in the Adams Funeral Chapel in Cowen with the Rev. Okey Wayne of Cowen officiating.
