He was preceded in death by his parents, John Raymond and Lorraine Schoonmaker, Sr. He was an honorary Elder of Wellsburg Christian Church, a member of the Christian Church of Weriton, an Army veteran of World War II, a charter member of the VFW Post No. 4496 Wellsburg, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 34. EMMA SCIARETTI--Follansbee-- Emma Nazionale Sciarretti, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at Trinity Medical Center West. She was born Jan. 26, 1910, in Cologna Spriaggia, Italy, daughter of the late Guillio and Mary Ortznzio Nazionale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nicola, on Nov. 19, 1970; a son, Mario P., on Aug. 22, 1985, and two brothers, Ralph and Attilio Nazionale. She was amember of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Follansbee, the Altar and Rosary Society, St. Theresa's Guild, at the Blessed Sodality of the Church. Scott, 72, of Main Street, a member of the mechanic gang at Koppers Industries, Inc. before his retirement, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 1998, in the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 2, 1925, in Pennsylvania, he was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Cassie Stickle Scott; three brothers, Robert, Calvin and Donald Scott; and a sister, Helen Waters. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Wellsburg Moose Lodge. Blessing services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward Lucas officiating. Burial will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Follansbee, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Tri-State Marine Corps. He was co-owner and operator of the former Rockdale Metal Products Co., Wellsburg, for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clare Brady Young; a brother; two sisters. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Agnes Pfister Young; three sons, Robert and Scott, both of Wellsburg, and Dr. Michael W. of Huntington; three brothers, Wilbert "Wib", and Gary, both of Wellsburg, and William "Bill" of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Diserio of Wellsburg; three grandchildren' a great-grandchild. Arrangements by Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Interment in St. Johns Cemetery. The Wellsburg Elks Lodge held services.
