The area is a little hard to pinpoint, unless you have an old map. It is near what was known as Eliza's (Lizy's) Run, in the former town of Orton. Though in days past this was a "bustling" area, it is now sparsely populated, and no longer has its own post office; being served by the Normantown post office instead. Driving directions: from US Rtes. 33/119 at Normantown, go south on Gassaway Road. Follow the road as it curves to the right around the little white church, about 1 mile from Normantown, then continue on approximately another 3 miles, to a gravel road (Mud Lick) that turns off sharply to the left and up the hill. After about a mile, the road appears to end at a white house, but it actually continues to the right, across the creek and up the hill! The cemetary is reached (by 4WD) at the top of the ridge, about a mile from the last house. The gravesites are listed alphabetically to make searching easier, and my comments concerning the physical properties of the headstones are in brackets. I have tried to faithfully record the carvings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [granite, lichen covered; at the top is a carving of an infant's right hand, back facing, with index finger pointing skyward] COY EARL [italics]infant son of J.D.
