Featuring the entertainment for the day was a program of music and a basket dinner. Among the relatives present were: Mrs. Amy L. Kight of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Rhoda (“Dode”) Sheid of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Lula Larry of Peidmont, Kansas, Mrs. Rilla Lauffer of Wichita, Kans., Mrs. Ato Young of Gassaway, Mr. And Mrs. Cal Norman, Mrs. Anna Kennedy and children, Lynn, Odessa and Gwendolym, Mrs. Arlie Alltop, Mrs. Peral Williams and daughters, Peggy and Leona, Mr. and Mrs. Edison Norman, Mr. and Mrs. Carey James and daughter, Mescal Belle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sumpter and children Ora and Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Beall and grandson, Donald Beall, Laura Berry, John James, Charlotte James, Olive James, Oren Sumpter, all of Normantown; Wirt Norman and son, Verlin, of Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gainer of Parkersburg; John Norman of Ellenboro; Mrs. Blanche Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Burke and children, Elsie , Zetta Jean, Wanda and Iona Lee, Mr and Mrs. Clifford Goldsmith and Daughter, Wilda Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Stokes Waldeck and children, Erma, Waldeene, Richard and Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Furr and son, Fred, Jr., and all of Cedarville; Mrs. Dana Blanton, Will Ayers, John Kight, Albert Kight and Eugene Bennett, all of Calhoun County; Mrs. Della Wolfe, Clark Wolfe, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wolfe, all of Glenville; and Mrs. Harold Hall Of Philippi. For the first time in twelve years the six daughters of Elijah and Edith Ann Norman were together here. All of the daughters are more than sixty years of age. Mrs. Kight, who is eighty years old, made the trip from her home in Long Beach, Calif., to Glenville alone, as did Mrs. Rhoda Sheid, who is seventy-four and lives at Denver, Colo. The other sisters are Mrs. Lilly Sumpter, 63, and Mrs. Emma Beall, 66, of Normantown; Mrs. Anna Kennedy, 64, of Orton; and Mrs. Della Wolfe, 61, of Glenville. All are natives of Gilmer county. (This newspaper clipping was pass on to me by my grandmother, Josie Love Nicholson Enloe, daughter of Octavia Burgess Norman Nicholson, daughter of Elijah G. Norman and Elizabeth Ann Hacker Norman.
