Gardner Family Cemetery, Greenbrier Co., WV Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives May 13, 2001 by Angela Berg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Directions to The Gardner Family Cemetery: In White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia take Rt. 60 east, turn left on Old Alvon Road (behind a Food Lion shopping center), cross a small bridge. Take the first right which is Pleasant Valley Road, and go about .08 of a mile. The cemetery is on the right over a small hill. (there is a turn-around point in the road, park there the cemetery is just over that hill)> small sign on a tree indicates Gardner Family Cemetery. Just over the hill is a big Gardner head stone. IN front of that are these markers: EDNA G. GARDNER 1881-1946 ELIZABETH JANE GARDNER 1828-1897 SAMUEL B. GARDNER 1823-1907 REAMER B. GARDNER 1868-1869 JAMES A. GARDNER 1848-1910 LULA H. GARDNER 1863-1931 CLAREE GARDNER STUMP 1886-1967 Just over the hill and to the extreme right is another marker: OLA V. KELLY BORN AUG. 25,1902 DIED NOV. 6, 1910 A PRECIOUS ONE FROM US HAS GONE A VOICE WE LOVE IS STLLED A PLACE IS VACANT IN OUR HOME WHICH NEVER CAN BE FILLED Continuing over the hill through some brush and under growth is another marker: JOHN M. DICKSON CO A 14 REGT VA CAV CSA 1843-1928 There are also several unmarked graves there.
