Matthew Arbuckle's Company Militia Greenbrier County Widow: Sarah--3 children I do with the advice of the Council hereby certify that Sarah Ignatius, widow of Howard Ignatius, late a private in the Captain Arbuckle's Company, who died in the service of the United States is entitled to the sum of twelve pounds yearly: to commence from the 1st day of January 1786. Given under my hand as Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, at Richmond, this15th day of November, 1786. Signed: P. Henry At a Court held in Greenbrier County the 18th day of August 1786: Ordered that Sarah Howard, (widow of Ignatius Howard, a soldier in Capt. Matthew Arbuckle's Company who died with the smallpox in the year 1777) with her three children be recommended as pensioner in need of the assistance of the government and that the former allowance made her ought to be continued.
