Born November 2, 1926, Marfrance, WV, she was the daughter of the late J. Elliott Lewis and Annie Laurie Hoke Lewis. She was an obstetrics nursing assistant at Emmett Memorial Hospital and a member of the Covington branch Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her brother Albert A. Arritt, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Basham, Roanoke; five sons, John W. Arritt, Richmond; James A. Arritt, Low Moor; Albert Dale Arritt; David B. Arritt, Roanoke; Daniel L. Arritt, Roanoke; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Monty (Ailene) Dolan and Mrs. James (Norma) Bryant, Harrisonburg; Mrs. Carthy (Linda) Dotson, Hines, WV and Mrs. Thomas (Brenda) Alley, Rupert, WV. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Covington branch Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with the president, Freddie Tucker, speaking. Interment will be in the Lone Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel. Active pallbearers will be Garland Whiting, Fred F. Forbes, Jerry D. Wolfe, James Rolston, William Fleming and Robert Sampson.
